Dear Hampton Christian Parents,
Due to the recent outbreak of the H1N1 virus in our school, we would like to assure parents that consistent preventative measures are being implemented to ensure the health and well being of our students and staff.
It is for this reason that we wish to make certain that students do not return too prematurely following an illness. Please note that The Center for Disease Control recommends that people with flu-like illness (including H1N1) stay home for at least seven (7) days, even if they have no more symptoms. In addition, please remember that it is Hampton Christian’s school policy that students should not return to school following an illness until he/she has been free from fever (without the use of fever-reducing medications) or other symptoms for at least 24 hours.
In promotion of good health for our students and staff, we are requesting that students obtain a written note from his/her physician indicating that he/she is able to return to school following a swine flu illness. Please help us to protect the welfare of the entire student body in this manner.
In His Name,
Tabitha Person
School Nurse
